Arul Mahadevan is a cancer physician based in the Boston area. He believes that travel empowers the body, mind and soul and he cherished that experience for years with his wife, son, and daughter. Growing up in India and since pursuing his medical career in three continents has allowed him to explore and enjoy the natural beauty on this planet in close quarters.
Recently, what started as a resilience building exercise during Covid, quickly evolved into a passion to explore the outdoors by hiking/trekking. He completed all 48 four-thousand footers in NH in 2-1/2 months in 2020 and since hiked all over the US (Arizona, Colorado, California, Washington) in all seasons including winter. He has also completed treks to Mount Fuji in Japan, Everest Base Camp in Nepal, and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
