2026 Trek Trainers Trekking Trips

In 2026, we are organizing several international trips to include Peru in June, Iceland in August and Nepal in November and a preparation trip for high altitude trekking in Ecuador in April/May and in Colorado in August/September.

Peru – Cordillera Huayhuash – June 8-21, 2026

The Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru is one of the most breathtaking mountain ranges in the world, a compact yet dramatic knot of icy peaks that rise sharply into turquoise sky, encircled by crystalline lakes of deep blues and greens. Jagged summits such as Yerupajá and Siula Grande soar above sweeping valleys carved by glaciers, while high-altitude meadows glow with ichu grass and wildflowers moving in constant wind. The landscape feels both intimate and immense: quiet alpaca pastures suddenly giving way to towering ice walls, mirror-still lagoons reflecting serrated ridgelines, and crisp mountain light that shifts the colors hour by hour. If lucky, you will see vicuña herds roaming the mountainsides. Remote, pristine, and deeply spiritual, the Huayhuash offers a sense of awe and stillness that lingers long after you leave its trails.

Iceland – Laugavegur Trail – August 2026

Laugavegur Trail is Iceland’s most popular multi-day trek through the rugged landscape of the Highlands region. This hiking route stretches between Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk for 55 km (34 mi) and takes about 6 days to complete. Each section is marked by contrasting sights, like colorful rhyolite mountains, black sand deserts, forests, and glacier valleys. This trail is one of the most beautiful hikes in the world, even recognized by National Geographic.

Nepal – November 2026

Nepal offers tremendous trekking opportunities in one of the most beautiful, scenic and culturally diverse portions of the world. Trekking options include the famous Everest Base Camp trek including Kala Patthar, or trek to the Gokyo Lakes region and hike to the summit of Gokyo Ri or visit the challenging Mansula region or visit the Langtang region. The choice of the trek will depend on the demand.

Tanzania – Mount Kilimanjaro January 2027

This trek will be a 9-day journey using the Lemosho Route in January 2027.  This route ensures proper acclimation going through 5 different climate zones culminating in an alpine start to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
