Cordillera Blanca

The Cordillera Blanca is the highest tropical mountain range in the world, stretching approximately 124 miles across the Ancash region of northern Peru.

Part of the greater Andes, this region is known for massive peaks, dramatic ice walls, and turquoise glacial lagoons. Nearly the entire range is protected within Huascarán National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
