Arul Mahadevan is a cancer physician based in the Boston area. He believes that travel empowers the body, mind and soul and he cherished that experience for years with his wife, son, and daughter. Growing up in India and since then working in 3 continents has allowed him to explore and enjoy the natural beauty on this planet in close quarters. Recently, what started as a resilience-building exercise during Covid quickly evolved into a passion to explore outdoors by hiking/trekking. He completed all 48 footers in NH in 2-1/2 months in 2000 and since hiked all over the US (Arizona, Colorado, Rainier) in all seasons including winter. He has also completed Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro treks.
