Prepared for Two High-Altitude Adventures

Sujatha trekked with Arul and Mike to both Everest Base Camp and Kilimanjaro—two high-altitude objectives where preparation has to begin well before the group arrives at the trailhead.

She particularly valued Mike’s exercise-physiology background and the way he taught the group to train for high-altitude adventures safely and methodically. The coaching helped turn the months before departure into part of the expedition rather than an afterthought.

Looking back on both trips, Sujatha describes Arul and Mike not simply as organizers but as leaders who guided the group through the entire process. Her recommendation is unqualified: she says they could not have had better leaders for those adventures.
